Dr. Hannah Dodson has devoted her life to helping others

as a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner. But after facing

major life challenges of her own and experiencing the

healing power of horses along the way, she decided to

integrate horses into a new type of healing practice.

Hannah founded Leadline Wellness in North Carolina to

help as many people as possible learn to move beyond

simply reacting to health problems when they arise to

taking control of their health and reaching a new level

of wellness.

How did you first get involved with horses?

Like a lot of horse girls, I didn’t really choose

horses, they chose me. From the beginning,

there was something about their power and

sensitivity that drew me in. What started as

curiosity quickly became a lifelong anchor.

What were your early years with horses like?

They were humbling in the best way. Learning

through trial and error and realizing early on

that horses don’t respond to force, they respond

to feel. Those years shaped my work ethic and

taught me patience in a way nothing else could.

How did you get to where you

are now in your life/career?

My career has always centered around care

and performance. As a nurse practitioner for

over two decades, I saw a gap: People were

being treated when something went wrong,

not guided on how to stay well. Founding

Leadline Wellness was my way of changing that

narrative. Horses were always part of my life, so

naturally, I built something that supports the

greater community as well. Now, I get to blend

wellness, performance and lifestyle in a way that

feels incredibly aligned.

What do you like most about your working

with horses in riding and your job?

It’s the partnership. Horses demand honesty and

presence, and so does my work. Whether I’m

riding or working with a client, it’s about paying

attention to the small details that create long-

term results. I love helping people feel strong,

capable, and in control of their health.
