Kayden Muller-Janssen

ayden Muller-Janssen, who stars on the Disney television series “The Villains of Valley

View,” grew up in in Wellington, Florida, surrounded by horses. Kayden developed

a love for horses early in life, but horses aren’t her only passion. With the support of

her mother, dressage trainer Kerensa Muller, Kayden was enrolled in local theatre and voice

classes—all the while dreaming of getting her big break.

As I watched Kayden on The Disney Channel recently, I was thrilled to see one of our own

equestrians, through hard work and dedication, following her dreams. And I love that Kayden

gives credit to the horse world for preparing her for her role in front of the camera. As a dressage

rider, she said she was used to competing in front of others and feeling pressure to do her best,

and that has carried over to her role on “The Villains of Valley View.”

Getting to know Kayden has made me smile—from meeting her rescue dogs to her love for

her family’s horse, Diesel, who recently had his eye removed, to being involved as a volunteer

for Brooke USA, Kayden is living her best life. She is also a gifted singer and songwriter whose

music has been listened to by millions. Just in case you think she has lived a fairytale Disney

princess life, that’s not the case. Kayden was bullied in school for being an oddball—a reminder

that we all have to deal with adversity. I hope you enjoy getting to know Kayden, and if you have

young people in your life, encourage them to watch her on “The Villains of Valley View.”

I’m excited to introduce you to dressage rider Jennifer Truett, who has certainly had an

amazing ride, filled with hard work and big dreams. Jennifer and her husband, Lenny, own

Dancing Horse Farm in Ohio, and their farm’s motto is “Dare to Dream.” I’ll let you read her

story about buying a horse for one dollar to buying another horse on a budget, proving that

daring to dream can take you on the ride of a lifetime.

I enjoyed getting to know eventer Kelly Prather in this issue, and I think you will, too. Kelly’s

eventing career started when she was very young and has taken her around the world, and she

shares some of her amazing adventures with us. Kelly now lives in Ocala, Florida, where her

business, Kelly Prather Eventing, is thriving.

This is our Women Entrepreneurs issue and you’re in for a treat as we introduce you to a

group of talented women who have worked incredibly hard and followed their dreams to create

their own businesses. These women might inspire you to start your own business just like

Samantha Charles did 36 years ago when, as a woman entrepreneur, she started Sidelines—

and we are still dreaming big and enjoying the ride today.
