What is your favorite thing about
the horse you’re competing?
My Dreamy LOVES dancing with me. He loves
doing anything and everything possible for
attention from anyone, so he loves a crowd.
He’ll walk right up to anyone and softly “boop”
them, “smile” and want attention. He’s truly a
Labrador in horse clothing.
What’s one thing your horse has taught
you throughout your partnership?
Never give up—he’s been on death’s doorstep
three times in the past two years.
Is there anything you and your horse have
been working on that you’re especially
excited to showcase?
Dreamy’s piaffe and passage have really
developed into his highlights. He just loves
bouncing!
What does it mean to you to compete at the
US Dressage Finals, and what are you most
looking forward to about it?
This will be our first time competing in the
Grand Prix. He was qualified to compete in the
Grand Prix and freestyle but spent the week
of Regionals at KHP in 2024 and the following
two weeks in ICU at Rood and Riddle fighting
for his life. In 2022, we won the I1 open at Finals
and in 2023, we won the I2 at Finals. I’m so
excited to hopefully get to go back and dance
with my best boy.
What do you like to do
when you’re not riding?
I love gardening. I have many flower beds
and a whole side of our house yard is now a
wildflower meadow.
